Abstract
Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) has become a new standard to examine the blood vessels, as it has a lot of advantages which conventional angiography does not have: (1) noninvasive, (2) dose not use irradiation, (3) does not need contrast medium, (4) can be done in a short time and (5) offer three dimensional images by using a reformation technique. Currently MRA and MRI examinations are done at the same time for three dimensional evaluation of the head and neck disease with vascular involvement-stenosis, displacement, compression, cancer invasion and so on. We reported the usefulness of MRA and believe this method will be a routine examination to understand the three-dimensional anatomical relationships in head and neck surgery.
