Abstract
EEGs of 21 electrodes were measured from 23 female university students at rest on eye. The subjects answered three mentality tests (YG Personality Test, Big5 Personality Test, and MINI124 that is the reduction edition of MMPI). We analyzed the subjects' EEGs by the Principal Component Analysis. As a result, the first and the second principal components accounted for 70-80% EEG activities. EEGs measured from the electrodes of the Vertex part such as Cz are strongly related to the first principal component. Moreover, EEGs of the Occipital part are strongly related to the second principal component, and clear α wave activities are seen in the second principal component. Furthermore, there is an 80% correlation between the extro/introversion and the second principal component contribution to EEGs from which the influence of the first principal component contribution is eliminated.
