Abstract
This study treats the relations of shapes and assimilation from the viewpoints which the color arrangement on the designed plane often changes by human eyesight. Part 1 of this study dealt with the influence of the layout and shapes of 2 colors on assimilation phenomenon. One of the results at Part 1 was that the assimilation phenomenon is affected considerably by pattern information than color information. Part 2 of this study, therefore, is focused upon the pattern phenomenon and deals with the influence of the stripe, border and check patterns composed of white and black colors on assimilation at designed plane. The results obtained in this study are shown that the distance between the designed plane and the human position which assimilation occurs was strongly influenced by the ratio of white-black widths at the border and stripe patterns and the aspect ratio at the check pattern. Furthermore, the relationship between stripe, border and check patterns on the assimilation phenomena was clarified.
