Abstract
This studies researched to analize the factors of maternal consciousness to the labor and bearing of the students in a nursing colledge.
Questionnaire was established to evaluate the consciousness. From the data of the questionnaire, six faotors were picked up by factor analysis, such as affirmative factor for labor and bearing, theoretically affirmative but really hesitative factor for labor, affirmative factor of becoming mother, affirmative factor to children, affirmative factor to female charactor, and hesitative factor for labor and bearing.
Factor scores were compared by the students'profile, such as profile of parents'existance, mother's occupation, number of sisters and brothers, experience caring for children, motivation to enter the nursing colledge, health-consciousness. These results suggested that nursing students seemed to be on the way of development of the maternal consciousness, mixing the affirmative as well as hesitative consciousness to the labor and bearing. The relations among them were observed by students'profile.
