Abstract
We report a case of recurrent aphthous ulceration diagnosed with intestinal Bechet’s disease suspected. The patient was a 40-year-old female. She consulted our department with intractable apfthous ulceration of oral cavity. Because of neither cutaneous or ocular manifestations, nor genital ulceration, she was diagnosed with recurrent aphthous ulceration and treated with topical corticosteroid. However, a diagnosis of intestinal Bechet’s disease was suspected, because she presented hematochezia 4 years after first medical examination and had multiple ulcers in cecum revealed by lower gastrointestinal tract endoscopy.
