Abstract

Herpes zoster is rarely associated with motor nerve palsy. Most of them recover spontaneously, but in some cases, permanent paralysis may occur. There is no established treatment for recovery from paralysis, and rehabilitation is considered the mainstay of treatment. A case of herpes zoster-induced paralysis of the deltoid muscle that may have been improved by spinal cord stimulation therapy.
