Abstract
The present paper describes the general construction and the experiments on the newly invented "Air-micro Dial Guage" acting on the principle of so-called air micrometer. The accuracy of the new guage is sufficiently high for the measurements of the deflection characteristics of diaphragm capsules and the thickness of soft materials. The errors are less than. 0.02 mm for the range of 15 mm and the measuring pressure is very weak (12 grwt).
