Abstract
This paper offers the character of the die-forged spiral bevel gears. We investigated the eccentric errors, the adjacent pitch errors, the inside diametric errors and the tooth bearing, etc. of the die-forged spiral bevel gears, and compared these results with those of the machined spiral bevel gears.
Furthermore, we inspected the metal structure and the hardness of the die-forged spiral bevel gears. Consequently, we verified the character of the die-forged spiral bevel gears as the machine elements.
