Abstract
The monotype is manufactured with the object to mechanize the type-setting process. In other words, it is the machine which picks, casts, and sets types all at once. Therefore, the prototype for the type, matrix and casting are its foundations. And in order to set types exactly after any original copies, various kinds of types ought to be in the monotype, and they must be picked out freely from it in accordance with any demands. Its efficiency depends upon how to make good use of the matrices, and upon how to drive and cast them in good order. Next, the last process of a series of the motions that is done by the monotype, is the casting of types faithfully after the orders. Therefoer, the monotype, from this point of view, is investigated, studied, examined and completed.
