Abstract
At present, many kinds of micro actuators and micro mechanical components have been studied, but force transmission to arbitrary direction is difficult using the current method. To solve this problem, a micro hydraulic system is expected to be useful. In this paper, the micro pressure transfer system using fluid was studied. For the investigation of feasibility of micro hydraulic system, the hydraulic characteristics were examined by using the micro cylinder system that consists of a plunger and a micro capillary tube. For the hydraulic characteristics of the micro cylinder, the loss in pressure transmission and dynamic response were studied. The simulation of a step response by stepping input was carried out by using hydraulic equation of normal size. Conclusions are summarized as follows : (1) Cylinder output force was able to evaluate that there was not extreme loss of force. (2) In the case of damping factor is above 0.05, the experimental results and the simulations are in good agreement. The possibility of the pressure transmission that using the micro cylinder system was shown.
