Fabrication of Functionally Graded Materials by Combination of Centrifugal Force and Sintering Method

Abstract

Fabrication methods of functionally graded materials (FGMs) under centrifugal force are classified into three categories, namely centrifugal method (application of centrifugal casting), centrifugal slurry method and centrifugal pressurization method (simple pressurization by the centrifugal force). The latter two methods can combine with sintering method. In this article, fabrication of FGMs by combination of centrifugal force and sintering method is described.
