Abstract

It was found that enstatite (MgO⋅SiO₂) was directly formed at low temperatures, without passing through forsterite (2MgO⋅SiO₂), by heating mixed powders prepared by the simultaneous hydrolysis of magnesium and silicon alkoxides.
