Abstract
The influences of the sintering temperatures in fabricating GdBa2Cu3O7-x ceramics on the critical current densities were investigated. The critical current density measured by the resistive method (Jc, res.) showed a maximum value for the sample sintered at 930°C, while that estimated from the magnetization loop (Jc, mag.) increased monotonically with increase in sintering temperature. The relationship between the decrease in Jc, res. and the second phase at grain boundary was discussed.
