Abstract
Substitution effect of La for Y or Ba in Y1Ba2Cu3Oy sintered ceramics on their magnetic susceptibility of YBaCuO sintered ceramics was investigated by using dc magnetic balance ranging from 500 to 8325 Oe of magnetic fields. 5 mol% of La was substituted for Y(named YLBCO) or Ba(YBLCO) in Y1Ba2Cu3Oy(YBCO); (1) Onset temperature of Meissner effect in these three specimens lowered with the increase of magnetic field. (2) Magnetic susceptibility of these specimens at 77K in the magnetic fields ranging from 500 to 8325 Oe increased in the following order: YBCO, YBLCO, YLC. (3) Volume fraction of superconductive phase in these specimens at 500 Oe were etimated to be about 3% and 4% for YBCO and YBLCO, and YLBCO, respectively.
