Abstract
High Tc superconductive thick films of YBCO system were prepared by the spray-pyrolysis process using toluene solution of metal naphthenates as starting materials. After spraying the mixed solutions of yttrium, barium and copper naphthenates on the yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) substrates and then preheating them at 500°C for 10min, we sintered them at 950-1070°C for 10min. They were finally annealed at 600°C for 10hr in oxygen gas. The specimens which were sintered in the partially melted state above 1010°C showed the Tc, zero at 90K. The critical current density (Jc) of 500A/cm2 at 77K was obtained in thespecimen sintered at 1050°C for 10min.
