Abstract

The solid solution region of infinite-layered copper oxide Ca1-xSrxCuO2 was studied under various oxygen partial pressure.The stability region expanded with decreasing oxygen pressure. The trials for electron or hole doping were tried, the intercalation of Li ion by the discharge in Li-battery was possible forming (Ca0.85Sr0.15)0.9LixCuO2(x ?? 0.2). Both a and c axes increased with increasing x, indicating the reduction of oxidation state of Cu, but it did not bring about superconductivity.
