Abstract
Ni3Al matrix composites are potential materials for high temperature application because of their marvelous temperature dependence of yield strength. We have tried to make Ni3Al composites reinforced with alumina fibers that have excellent compatibility with Ni3Al matrix by means of powder metallurgy technique. As a result, we feel keenly that ductility of Ni3Al matrix composites at elevated temperature must be made better by alloying element. In this sence, chromium and cerium are added to Ni3Al with boron and tensile properties of these alloys were investigated.
