A 43-year-old male carpenter presented with a chief complaint of dyspnea. The chest X-ray showed feather-like diffuse abnormal shadows radiating from bilateral hili and alveolar proteinosis was diagnosed by bronchoscopic bronchoalveolar lavage and transbronchial lung biopsy. Bronchoalveolar lavage was effective treatment. This case suffered 4 repeated dyspnea attacks after the initial treatment, and each time bronchoalveolar lavage of the affected lobe was effective.
