Abstract

Background. Spontaneous regression of lung cancer is a rare occurrence. Case 1. A 76-year-old male was diagnosed with small cell cancer after presenting with a lung tumor, and undergoing endobronchial ultrasonography using a guide sheath (EBUS-GS) to examine the right S6 tumor, and we diagnosed small cell lung cancer. However, the tumor regressed spontaneously approximately one month after EBUS-GS. Case 2. A 63-year-old male presented with mediastinal lymphadenopathies. We performed endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), but the lymph node regressed spontaneously approximately one month after EBUS-TBNA. Conclusion. We report two cases of spontaneous regression of lung cancer after bronchoscopy.
