Background. Granular cell tumors are rare neoplasms that can occur in any organs, with 6-8% of cases arising in the trachea, bronchi, or lungs. Most cases are diagnosed through endobronchial biopsy (EBB) or surgical resection. Very few cases have been diagnosed using endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA). Case. A 50-year-old woman presented to our department with a left pulmonary hilar mass noted during a medical checkup in July 20XX. Computed tomography (CT) showed a round mass in the left S6 segment. Bronchoscopy was performed in August 20XX due to the possibility of primary lung cancer. Bronchoscopic examination revealed a slit-like stenosis in the left B6 bronchus; however, no tumor was found in the bronchial lumen. EBB was not feasible; therefore, tissue samples were collected using EBUS-TBNA, leading to a diagnosis of a pulmonary granular cell tumor. Conclusion. EBUS-TBNA is a minimally invasive and useful tool for diagnosing pulmonary granular cell tumors.
