A mass protruding from the bladder trigon was found during ovariohysterectomy in a 12-year-old miniature dachshund. Since it was diagnosed as a malignant ganglioneuroma by the biopsy of the protruding area, full-thickness excision including normal bladder wall around the tumor was performed. The excised lesion was re-diagnosed as a malignant ganglioneuroma based on additional immunohistochemical examination. Neither recurrence nor metastasis was detected 35 months after the second surgery.
