Abstract
Though most kanji learning materials for elementary level learners are mainly focusing just on reading and writing activities, it is necessary for learners from non-kanji backgrounds to improve their skills to guess the meaning from the shape in order to cope with routine living. In this paper, I introduce some examples of kanji learning tasks for elementary level learners, which were created to solve the problems, and discuss the importance of them.
