Abstract
This paper discusses classes where students read each other's compositions. The intention was to encourage students to write with multiple readers in mind. The class teacher corrected first drafts and commented on contents. Students then typed their compositions. Students were instructed to write down their comments after reading their classmates' compositions. Class members were positive about this activity and considered it a valuable learning experience. They enjoyed reading each other's writing as well as receiving comments on their own writing from someone other than their teacher. Students' responses showed that this activity led them to mutual understanding, improved motivation to write, and made them more aware of their readers.
