Abstract
In this paper, I will report on my actions and the students' reactions to the "Final Presentation Meeting" (FPM) organized as part of the Japanese language course for exchange students at Meijo University in the last week of each semester. The FPM itself is an "event" that has traditionally been carried out as part of the course for many years now, but as a new teacher of the course I reviewed its conventions and effected some reforms to help both speakers and listeners be more constructive, and make the FPM more fruitful for all students.
