Provision of Information on Garbage Disposal Accessible to People using Basic Japanese and Creation of a Guideline for Transferring Information in Easy Japanese　

Abstract

This study reports on an attempt to provide information on garbage disposal for foreigners who are learning basic Japanese and create an Easy Japanese guideline for people who are not Japanese teacher. Specifically, with the aim of helping foreigners at the JLPT N4 to N5 level dispose garbage in Japan smoothly, we prepared some materials with Easy Japanese: cards about trash disposal, a handout about how to separate trash, and a handout on how to physically dispose of trash. Moreover, based on this project, we created an Easy Japanese guideline for people who are not Japanese teacher, with the aim of allowing them to communicate using Easy Japanese.
