Abstract
At first, the calculation method that C and φ are obtained from the fifure of slope and the location of slide surface is explained.
Next, the relation between the probability of slope failure and safety factor is calculated . We must use the probability idea instead of the safety factor in determining the degree of control works by economical judgement. Further, it is noticed that the dispersion from the mean value is important in probability decision.
