Abstract

1. The beginning of some of the landslide is found by the occurrence of cracks.
These cracks on the groundsurface are located in both side areas of the creeping soil-mass, and they have a tendency to extend a certain direction, as nearly 45° for the creeping in Oyudana landslide.
Then, these cracks can be correlated with the crevasses along side of glacier which was described by E. Cloos, and by their distribution and their extending direction, the area and creeping direction of the creeping soil-mass can be determined, like in these cases.
2. Loading enbankment to restrain the landslide extending was extremely effective in Oyudana landslide, and effet of enbankment was appeared by only 0.58% for the landslide-mass in the ratio of cross-sectional area, and restrained extremely the creeping movement by 3.12% by the ratio
