Abstract

Boundary element method has recently come to be widely employed for the analysis of porous media problem. However, three dimensional analysis of boundary element method has seldom been applied to the transient free surface flow problems because the non-steady seepage point has two normal streams of un-known flux. This paper presents the discretization of three-dimensional boundary element method. Accuracy and versatility of the proposed procedure are demonstrated through the numerical discussion of free surface problems containing the effect of drainage works.
