To measure a volume consistency of hedoro sediment which appears in harbors or bays by means of underwater ultrasonic method, it is necessary to obtain acoustic and physical properties of the sediments. In this study, the dependence of sound velocity and acoustic impedance on consistency were obtained in laboratory measurement by pulse transmission method under 50 kHz changing successively the consistency of sample. Consequently, the velocity decreases with increasing consistency depending on mud particle's density which varies with its existing location, and impedance increases with consistency.
