The effcts of AST Chiro Qi-Gong (AST Qi-Gong) on several diseases have been reported hitherto. Authors tried to investigate the effects of AST Qi-Gong on the grip strength and reported here some results with discussion. Twenty nine healthy volunteers and twenty three patients underwent AST Qi-Gong therapy and the effects on the grip strength were examined. Under almost every condition, Qi-Gong therapy showed significant increase of grip strength. There was the tendency that the rate of increase in grip strength was significantly larger in female than in male. The group of the weak grip strength also revealed more in the rate of increase than group of the strong grip strength. The effects on increasing rate did not depend significantly on therapy times under various conditions except for the case of the right hand of female. There observed no significant change among the ages of the therapy receivers. It was suggested that AST Qi-Gong was effective on strengthening the grip strength for almost every person.
