Abstract
The effectiveness of the AST Chiro treatment on the painful shoulder was examined and compared to the effectiveness by the hyaluronic acid injection therapy. On the treatment of the pain, over 40% of the painful samples were cured by only one AST treatment. The extent is not high, but consecutive treatments assisted healing and after 3 times treatments, the extent of the curing became more than 71%. Most of the patients completely cured by several times treatments and never perceived reoccurrence of the pain. On the other hand, by the hyaluronic injection therapy, the pain disappeared quickly but reappeared again after several days. That is a typical phenomenon. As for the effectiveness on the ROM (range of motion), 2〜4 times of the AST treatment cured almost all the patients. Among ROMs, effectiveness was the biggest for the ROM forward, followed by backward, and then side.
