Abstract
To understand systematically natural events (near-death experience and brain-death etc.) in the boundary area between science and religion, a new paradigm of philosophy is tried to be constructed. Through clarifying similarities and differnces between an ancient oriental philosophy ("Book of Changes") and a recent western one ("Dialectics of Nature"), there is proposed a newly developed paradigm of philosophy that is classfied into Dialectic Axiom and Dialectic Theorem. The axiom is defined that all events in the universe are composed of Yin-Yang, and are relative in space and change in time. The theorem is composed of the content where act the law of mutual change of quantity-quality and the law of No-Yes (change of cloth) when Yin and Yang penetrate each other, and the form where Yin and Yang branch and coalesce and the supplement where nothing and everything shift each other. When one sets the axiom at absolute axis and spirit and material at relative axes, and introduces the therem, there is born a new philosophical conception of the world named Dialectic One Dimensional Theory of Material-Spirit. It surpasses Decartes' Two Dimensional Theory, and answers the claim of quantum theory and can express that not only material evolves to spirit but also spirit degenerates to material.
