Mental retardation

Abstract

The Music therapy conference was held on a patient with severe mental retardation. The patient was a 5-year-old girl. Her major problems were as follows; little vocalization, short attention span, stereotype behavior, and crying constantly during music therapy sessions. We discussed how to deal with these problems and what to do in music therapy according to the patient’s developmental level.
