Currently, the clinical practice of pain treatment emphasizes assessment and intervention strategies considering the pathological classification of pain. Since pain is associated with multiple factors, a wide range of pain assessment tools have been developed. In this article, we introduce a questionnaire assessment tool for nonspecific pain that can be used for all musculoskeletal disorders regardless of pain location. The questionnaire assesses pain intensity, pain location, disability, and quality of life in order to determine the severity of pain and to evaluate it over time. In addition, neuropathic pain and nociplastic pain are evaluated to identify pathological conditions.
