Business Needs on Data of Climate Variation Prediction and Re-analysis

Abstract

  The authors discuss results of research with interviews or questionnaires on business needs, focused on data of down-scaling climate variation prediction and past meteorological re-analysis, having undertook Data Integration and Analysis System Program (DIAS-P). The results show that major needs are related to support of using these data. Anticipated user supports are allocation of staff familiar with business deals, the clarification and proxy of contracts and rights, and the access to and trial use of samples. Depending on capability of developing applications, required user supports are classified. Companies insufficient for application development needs collaborative research, while think tanks and IT companies needs concierges under non-disclosure agreement.
