Abstract

This paper deals with a combustion control system design problem of diesel engine. We propose a decoupled combustion control system design scheme with a parallel feedforward compensator (PFC) for diesel engine with triple fuel injection based on ASPR based adaptive output feedback control. For a nonlinear engine model, we consider a linear approximated model in order to design the adaptive control system. A decoupled adaptive output feedback control based on system's ASPR-ness will be proposed for the obtained linear system by considering main fuel injection timing and fuel injection quantity of pilot and pre-injection as control inputs and pressure peak and pressure peak timing as outputs of the system. The effectiveness of the proposed method will be confirmed through numerical simulations.
