Abstract
In this paper, the air temperature and the earth temperatures of various depth in a “Frame”, which constructed for horticultural use in the site of the Central Meteorological Observatory in Tokyo, were investigated. The glass lids of the frame were closed as usual throughout the seasons and the records were taken by a thermograph and the various underground thermometers at the depth of 0-0.5, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 metre respectively. The temperature in the frame was compared with that in the field, and some characteristics of the frame were discussed.
