Abstract
In general, residual flux density produces a detrimental effect on a measurement instrument end. an apparatus. This report studies the following problems :
(1) Analysis of residual flux distribution by the finite element method, taking into account of hysteresis.
(2) Demagnetizing conditions of mild steel and the demagnetizing method. The demagnetizing conditions and method were confirmed experimentally and the following experiments on demagnetizing were made: (a) gradient, (b) frequency, and (c) magnitude.
