Abstract
A cloth transformer is very thin, and is anticipated to be useful in the MHz frequency region. We calculated the characteristics of the cloth transformer using an equivalent circuit and taking account of stray capacities. In order to improve the instrument's characteristics, the exciting reactance must be increased. Under a given driving frequency, the inductance per unit volume was calculated based on simple assumptions. Analysis indicated that there was a suitable ratio of the diameter of amorphous wire to copper wire.
