Study of a Trial Production of Magnetic Gear with Variable Circular Arc Tooth Profile

Abstract

The design, overlap area of permanent magnet in meshing area and performance characteristics of circular arc magnetic gear are described.
The transmitted torque of circular arc magnetic gear enlarges by 6% as compared with the same dimension involute magnetic gear. The reason of this is that the overlap area of permanent magnet in the meshing area becomes larger using a variable pinion arc tooth profile.
