Abstract
The effects of Cr addition into nanocrystalline Fe- Cu-Nb-Si-B alloys on the soft magnetic properties and chemical characteristics were studied. Corrosion resistance of the nanocrystalline alloys annealed in non-oxidizable atmosphere is better than that of the pre-annealed amorphous alloys. A small addition of Cr and the use of non-oxidizable annealing atmosphere are very effective in improving the chemical properties of the nanocrystalline alloys. Fe72.5Cr1Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy exhibits both high permeability of about 75000 and exellent corrosion resistance.
