Abstract

  By means of a coupling of spin and obital moment under action of crystal electrical field, we deduced the theoretical expression of the interface energy Ks supporting the perpendicular anisotropy for one monolayer Co/19ÅPt multilayer. As compared with the experimental value, Ks=-0.25erg/cm2, the permission combination of obital quantum number L and the ratio of the charge number ZPt/ZCo, carried by Pt and Co atoms respectively, is given for fitting the experimental Ks value.
