Abstract
In general, a linear electromagnetic solenoid (LES) is composed of multiple magnetic materials. This paper deals with thrust simulation of LESs, taking account of the magnetization of each magnetic material.
1. Thrust simulation of a standard LES composed of two magnetic materials with almost the same magnetization approximated the measured values within an error of ±4.5% Thrust simulation of a standard LES composed of a single magnetic material approximated the measured values with the same error.
2. Thrust simulation of a gas-interrupted LES composed of three magnetic materials approximated the measured values within an error of ±3%. However, thrust simulation a LES composed of a single magnetic material resulted in an error of ± 17% with respect to the measured values.
