Abstract
In a previous paper, we proposed an oscillating circuit that included a bridge-connected magnetic circuit. A square-shaped output voltage is obtained in the oscillating circuit. The pulse width in the positive and negative half-cycles of the output voltage changes with the current flow in the U-form core windings and the signal voltage applied to the exciting windings. Furthermore the average value of the output voltage varies in proportion to the product of the current value and the signal voltage value. In this paper, we present a dc power-measuring circuit as an application of the oscillating circuit. The dc power measuring circuit proposed here has various advantageous characteristics, including a simple construction and a very small zero-drift in the output voltage.
