Abstract
The magnetic properties of trivalent vanadium oxide system, LuVO3, were investigated by the measurements of DC magnetization and AC magnetic susceptibility. The antiferromagnetic Weiss temperature of -106K and effective moment of 2.68μB were obtained from the Curie-Weiss fitting. The three steps of magnetic transitions were observed in DC magnetic susceptibility at about 107K, 86K and 72K. These magnetic behaviors should be discussed by the complex exchange interactions in this system.
