Input-Output Voltage Characteristics of a Planar Parametric Transformer

Abstract

A planar parametric transfonner previously proposed by the authors has various desirable features, including voltage regulation, overload protection, and noise rejection. The dimensions of the center leg and the narrow paths near the slots influence the performance characteristics of the transformer. In this paper, the relation between the input and output voltage of the transformer is analyzed for various magnetic saturation curves of the magnetic paths.
