Grain Size Dispersion Model of Magnetic Recording Media

Abstract

A grain size dispersion model for calculating the properties of magnetic recording media is proposed. The magnetic property and the read/write properties of several media were calculated by using this model and three previously proposed models to investigate the effect of the calculation model on the results. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed method.
