This paper presents a dynamic simulator for analyzing various behaviors of capacitance-drive-type linear electromagnetic solenoid (LES). The simulator enables short time analysis of dynamic response of LES compared with conventional simulation methods such as finite element method (FEM). To realize fast calculation of LES models, whole LES system including electromagnetic circuit, and mechanism are described and modeled by derivative equations. The short time analysis by the dynamic simulator allows LES designers to test various changes of parameters of a LES. In the individual sections, dynamic modeling of LES and the simulation algorithm using the mathematical models are described in detail. The simulator results are compared to the experimental results, and the validity of the simulator is verified.
