Abstract
For the safety assessment of radioactive waste disposal, it is important to elucidate the effect of colloids formed due to dissolution of cement on the migration of radionuclides. In this work, we measured whether the colloids generated or not in the solution containing cement hydrates, OPC or low-alkaline cement, characterized them if generated, by a particle counter, filtration technique and observation of the filters with SEM, and discuss the generation and kinds of the colloids.
