Abstract
Stressing importance of structural formulas in handling organic chemical information, the development of Wiswesser line notation system is outlined in relation of its application to the chemical information system now operational at the Sumitomo Chemical Co. The flow of computer processing system is described, which is composed of three subsystems for decoding of WLN data, retrieval, including that of atom-atom connections, and printing out of retrieved data.
